To go further, this route runs through Yangmingshan and Jinshan, and requires conquering three peaks:Small oil pit, wind cabinet mouth, cold water pit, some knights also jokingly called thisYangjin "3P" Challenge. This is not an easy ride, but an extreme test of physical fitness, willpower and technique.
First level, small oil pit, a steady rhythm is the only way to reach the top;The second level, Fengguizui, the undulating hairpin turns test your skills;The final ultimate test, the cold water pit, when the slope suddenly soars to 20%, if you don't hold back, then this moment will definitely be the end of pain... But when you reach the end and overlook the magnificent scenery, the sense of accomplishment of conquering yourself will make it all worth it!

📍 Route Overview
- Total length: 75 km
- Total ascent: 2,200 meters
- Three major climbing sections: Xiaoyoukeng (800-meter climb), Fengguizui (600-meter climb), Lengshuikeng (600-meter climb, maximum slope 20%)
- Riding Challenge: High-intensity long climbs + technical hairpin turns + ever-changing weathergas
🔥 First P: Small oil pit – Pedal steadily and don’t rush too fast!
📍 Tianmu Sports Park → Xingyi Road → Dongsheng Road → Xiaoyoukeng → Xiaoguanyin Parking Lot
🚵 Distance: 14 km |⛰ Climb: 800 meters
The first climb is a warm-up, but it should never be taken lightly. The slope of this route gradually becomes steeper, especially after passing the Cultural University, where it becomes a steeper slope. Stable output is the key, don’t overexert yourself, because there will be tougher challenges ahead!When you arrive at the Xiaoguanyin parking lot, you can take a break and enjoy the magnificent mountain scenery of northern Taiwan. Next, you will glide down to Jinshan at high speed. This is the most relaxing part of the ride, so remember to enjoy it!
⚡ Second P: Fengguizui – Technical hairpin bend + continuous climbing challenge
📍 Jinshan → Provincial Highway 2 → Yuantan Road → Fengguizui
🚵 Distance: 18 km |⛰ Climb: 600 meters
This section has many technical hairpin turns. Especially if it rains, the ground becomes slippery and the grip becomes poor, requiring more focus on control and braking timing.
💡 TIPS:
- Cornering tips: Slow down before entering a hairpin, keep steady, and do not brake suddenly in the bend.
- Dealing with rainy days: Equip a waterproof windbreaker and headlights to improve visibility and ensure safety.
The top of Fengguizui is the second P point and the end point of another high-intensity climb, but the real challenge is not over yet!
💀 Third P: Lengshuikeng – the ultimate test of 20% climbing!

🚵 Distance: 6 km |⛰ Climbing: 600 meters (steepest slope 20%)
When you think you have adapted to the rhythm of climbing, the cold water pit will give you the ultimate test! The slope here suddenly soars to 20%, which means that if you don’t save your strength before, you may start to cramp in this section.This climb is a test of willpower, and every pedal stroke challenges your limits. When you finally arrive at the Lengshuikeng Tourist Service Station, congratulations, you have successfully completed the ultimate challenge of the Yangjin P-shaped mountain trail!
